The top UN official in Ukraine expressed outrage on Thursday at military attacks that killed children and other civilians in Chaplyne, central Ukraine, on Wednesday, and urged all parties to follow international law.
On Thursday, Russia’s defense ministry announced that its soldiers had collided with a military train at Chaplyne railway station. According to Kyiv, 25 civilians were killed in the Russian strike.
“I am deeply disturbed by the strikes that killed and injured civilians near the Chaplyne rail station in central Ukraine yesterday.
