Darem Tabaa, Education Minister, discussed with UNICEF Representative in Syria, Bo Viktor Nylund, ways of coordinating joint programs and mechanisms for enhancing cooperation in serving the educational process in a variety of domains.

Tabaa emphasized the importance of collaboration with the UN Organization during the meeting in order to achieve the best learning for students and support the educational process.

He emphasized the significance of Syria’s virtual participation in the Transforming Education Summit, which was recently held in Paris.

The Minister also emphasized the necessity of assisting “UNESCO” and “UNICEF” in facilitating the direct participation of a number of Syrian youngsters in the Transforming Education Summit, which will be place in September of next year.

Minister Tabaa mentioned the potential of conducting an experimental research on strategies to safeguard pupils from the hazards of drugs, which would be funded by UNICEF.

Nylund, for his part, praised the Ministry’s beneficial collaboration, especially in the sphere of interactive activity, underlining the UN organization’s support for the development of education in Syria, in addition to renovating schools and providing their needs.
