Russia accused the US of direct participation in the Ukraine crisis on Tuesday, as the first ship transporting Ukrainian grain to foreign markets since Moscow’s invasion made its way to Lebanon without incident. 


  • A senior Turkish official said on Tuesday that Turkey expects one grain ship to leave Ukrainian ports every day as long as a deal for safe passage remains in place, after the safe departure of the first wartime freighter from Odesa on Monday. 
  • The G7 is considering, among other things, stopping Russian oil shipments in order to deprive Moscow of lucrative income in the midst of its invasion of Ukraine, unless it adheres to a price ceiling. 
  • According to Reuters, the US Commerce Department will add 25 Airbus jets controlled by Russian airlines suspected of violating US export rules as part of the Biden administration’s penalties in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. 


  • Russia alleged on Tuesday that the US was actively participating in the Ukrainian crisis because US agents were authorizing and coordinating Ukrainian missile attacks against Russian soldiers. 
  • US Secretary of State Antony Blinken termed Russia’s activities in the vicinity of Ukraine’s biggest nuclear power plant “the height of irresponsibility” accusing Moscow of using it as a “nuclear shield” in strikes on Ukrainian troops. 
  • Russia’s Supreme Court branded Ukraine’s Azov Regiment as a terrorist organization on Tuesday, according to a Reuters journalist in the courtroom, clearing the path for captured troops to be prosecuted under strict anti-terror legislation and imprisoned for up to 20 years. 
  • Russia said on Tuesday that it had conducted lethal attacks on Ukrainian military in Ukraine’s southern Mykolaiv area and eastern Kharkiv. The defense ministry also claimed to have destroyed seven ammunition stockpiles in the country’s east and south, including one near Zaporizhzhia. 
  • According to Interfax, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Tuesday that Russia had destroyed six US-made HIMARS missile systems since the start of the Ukrainian war. 
  • According to the UN Refugee Agency, the number of border crossings from Ukraine has topped 10 million for the first time since Russia invaded the nation.
